Your life path number is the sum of the digits of your birth date, reduced to a single digit or a master number (11, 22, 33); the math is fixed, so any correct calculator, AI or not, gives the same result. What the number can tell you is a traditional character sketch for reflection, not a measurement or a forecast. On Suan, numerology and Human Design are computed by the engine and count as cross-check votes beside astrology and BaZi, never as the verdict alone.

How the life path number is calculated

Reducing each part separately, rather than summing every digit at once, is the common Pythagorean convention because it preserves master numbers; the two methods occasionally give different results, so a calculator should say which it uses.

Write the birth date as month, day and full year. Example: July 4, 1990 is 7, 4 and 1990.
Reduce each part to a single digit or a master number. Month 7 stays 7; day 4 stays 4; year 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19, then 1 + 9 = 10, then 1 + 0 = 1.
Add the three results: 7 + 4 + 1 = 12.
Reduce again: 1 + 2 = 3. The life path number is 3.
Stop reducing at 11, 22 or 33, which are kept as master numbers. A day of 22, for instance, is not reduced to 4.

What each number traditionally means

These are keywords from the Pythagorean tradition as popularized in the twentieth century, not findings. Twelve boxes cannot hold eight billion people, which is exactly why numerology should be read as a prompt rather than a profile.

What numerology can and can't tell you

Numerology can give you a compact frame to reflect on: a keyword to test against your own experience, and a vocabulary shared with millions of people. It cannot measure anything, because the input is a calendar date in one particular calendar, and it has no predictive track record. The Barnum effect, the tendency to accept vague descriptions as personally accurate, applies with full force to a dozen keywords.
